The Brunei Dollar (BND), also known as the Brunei Ringgit, is the official currency of Brunei, and it has been in circulation since 1967. It is represented by the ISO 4217 code BND, and its symbol is commonly denoted as $ or BN$. The issuance and management of the Brunei Dollar are the responsibility of the government and financial institutions of Brunei. Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 500, 1000, and 10,000 Brunei Dollars, along with coins in values of 1, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cents.
