The Turkish Lira (TRY) is the official currency of Turkey, first issued in 1927. It is identified by the ISO 4217 code TRY and is commonly represented by the symbol ₺. The issuance and management of the Turkish Lira are overseen by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. Currently circulating Turkish Lira banknotes include denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200 lira, along with coins in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50 kurus, as well as 1 and 5 lira. The kurus (kuruş) serves as the subunit of the Turkish Lira, with 100 kurus equal to 1 lira. Currently, in Hong Kong, only Ngan Fung Money Exchange Company provides currency exchange services for the Turkish Lira.
