Somoni, Tajikistan

The Somoni (TJS) is the official currency of Tajikistan, introduced in 2000. It is identified by the ISO 4217 code TJS and is commonly represented by the symbol ЅМ or SM; alternatively, TJS is also used. The issuance and management of the Tajikistani Somoni are overseen by the National Bank of Tajikistan. Currently circulating Tajikistani Somoni banknotes include denominations of 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 somoni, along with coins in denominations of 1, 3, and 5 somoni, as well as 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, and 50 diram.
