Bangladeshi Taka

The Taka (BDT) is the official currency of Bangladesh, and it has been in circulation since 1971. It is represented by the ISO 4217 code BDT, and its symbol is commonly denoted as ৳. The issuance and management of the Taka are the responsibility of the Central Bank of Bangladesh, known as the Bangladesh Bank. Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1000 Taka, along with coins in values of 1, 2, and 5 Taka.
