Angolan Kwanza

The Kwanza (AOA) is the official currency of Angola, and it has been in circulation since 1977. It is represented by the ISO 4217 code AOA, and its symbol is commonly denoted as Kz. The issuance and management of the Kwanza are the responsibility of the Government of the Republic of Angola. Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000, and 5000 Kwanzas, along with coins in values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 50, and 100 Kwanzas.
