Burundian franc

The Burundian Franc is the official currency of Burundi, and it has been in circulation since 1964. It is represented by the ISO 4217 code BIF, and its symbol is commonly denoted as FBu. The issuance and management of the Burundian Franc are the responsibility of the Central Bank of Burundi. Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 500, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, and 50,000 Francs, along with coins in values of 1, 5, 10, 50, and 100 Francs.
