Costa Rican Colon

The Costa Rican Colón is the official currency of Costa Rica and has been in circulation since 1896. Its ISO 4217 code is CRC, and it is commonly represented by the symbol ₡. The issuance and management of the Costa Rican Colón are the responsibility of the Banco Central de Costa Rica (Central Bank of Costa Rica). Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000, 20000, and 50000 Costa Rican Colones. Additionally, there are coins in values of 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 500 Costa Rican Colones.
