The Guinean Franc is the official currency of Guinea and has been in circulation since 1959. Its ISO 4217 code is GNF, and it is commonly represented by the symbols FG or ₣G. The issuance and management of the Guinean Franc are the responsibility of the Banque Centrale de la République de Guinée (Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea). Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 100, 500, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, and 20,000 Francs. Additionally, there are coins in values of 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50 Francs.
