Kenyan shilling

The Kenyan Shilling is the circulating currency of Kenya, with issuance starting in 1966. Its ISO 4217 code is KES, usually denoted by the symbols KSh or KShs. The Central Bank of Kenya is responsible for issuing and managing the currency. Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 Kenyan Shillings, along with coins in values of 1, 5, 10, 20, and 50 Shillings.
