Lao kip

The Kip is the official currency of Laos, introduced in 1952. Its ISO 4217 code is LAK, commonly represented by the symbols ₭ or ₭N. The issuance and management of the currency are overseen by the Bank of the Lao P.D.R. Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, and 100,000 Kip, along with coins valued at 10, 20, and 50 Att. The Att serves as a subunit of the Kip, with 1 Kip equal to 100 Att.
