Romanian Leu

The Romanian Leu (RON) is the official currency of Romania, introduced in 2005. It is identified by the ISO 4217 code RON and is commonly represented by the symbol lei or L. The issuance and management of the Leu are overseen by the National Bank of Romania. Currently, circulating banknotes include denominations of 1, 5, 10, 50, and 100 Lei. Additionally, there are coins in denominations of 1, 5, 10, and 50 Bani. The Bani is the subsidiary currency of the Leu, with 100 Bani being equivalent to 1 Leu.
