Tanzanian shilling

The Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) is the official currency of Tanzania, introduced in 1966. It is identified by the ISO 4217 code TZS and is commonly represented by the symbols TSh or TZS. The issuance and management of the Tanzanian Shilling are overseen by the Bank of Tanzania. Currently, circulating Tanzanian Shilling banknotes include denominations of 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, and 10,000 shillings, along with coins in denominations of 50, 100, 200, and 500 shillings.
