Ugandan shilling

The Ugandan Shilling (UGX) is the official currency of Uganda, first introduced in 1966. It is identified by the ISO 4217 code UGX and is commonly represented by the symbols Sh or USh. The Bank of Uganda is responsible for issuing and managing the Ugandan Shilling. Currently, circulating Ugandan Shilling banknotes include denominations of 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, and 50,000 Shillings, along with coins in denominations of 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1,000 Shillings.
