swiss franc

The Swiss Franc (CHF) is the official currency of Switzerland and has been in circulation since 1850. It is represented by the ISO 4217 code CHF. The symbol SFr. was previously used but has since been deprecated. The issuance and management of the Swiss Franc are the responsibility of the Swiss National Bank. Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 1000 Francs, along with coins in values of 5, 10, 20, 50 cents, and 1, 2, 5 Francs. Switzerland is among the popular travel destinations for Hong Kongers. According to statistics, before the pandemic, approximately 90,000 Hong Kongers traveled to Switzerland each year. The Swiss Franc has also become a popular currency for exchange. Currently, all money changers in Hong Kong facilitate the exchange of Swiss Francs.
