The Omani Rial (OMR) is the official currency of Oman, first introduced in 1973. It is identified by the ISO 4217 code OMR and is commonly represented by the symbol ﷼ or RO. The issuance and management of the Omani Rial are overseen by the Central Bank of Oman. Currently, circulating Omani Rial banknotes include denominations of 100 Baisa, 1, 5, 10, 20, and 50 Rials, with commonly used coin denominations of 5, 10, 25, and 50 Baisa. The Baisa (Baisa) serves as the subunit of the Rial, with 1 Rial equal to 1000 Baisa.
