Indian Rupee

The Indian Rupee is the offical currency of India, with issuance dating back to 1540. Its ISO 4217 code is INR, and it is commonly represented by the symbol ₹ (officially adopted in July 2010). The Reserve Bank of India is responsible for the issuance and management of the Indian Rupee. Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 Rupees, along with coins in values of 1, 2, 5, and 10 Rupees. According to our statistics, there are approximately 16 currency exchange shops across Hong Kong where you can buy and sell Indian Rupee.
