Bulgarian lev

The Lev is the official currency of Bulgaria, and it has been in circulation since 1999. It is represented by the ISO 4217 code BGN, and its symbols are commonly denoted as лв or лев. The issuance and management of the Lev are the responsibility of the Bulgarian National Bank. Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 Leva, along with coins in values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 stotinki, and 1 Lev.
